China, Beijing, March 27th, 2013—The A5000 valves supplied by C-EPRI for ±800kV/5000A Southern Hami-Zhengzhou UHVDC project in China have successfully passed insulation type test on March 27th, 2013. The test data met or exceeded contract requirements, which lays a solid base for fine valve quality and punctual delivery.

The test was finished in a power electronics lab owned by SGCC in Changping District, Beijing, which is in close proximity to C-EPRI. The success of test firmly supports the correctness and superiority of the mechanical design, EMC design, cooling design and voltage grading design of the A5000 valve technology as for 800kV/5000A application.
