A 3-member delegation from Manitoba Hydro paid a visit to C-EPRI on April 23rd and 24th 2013 to investigate C-EPRI’s capability on converter valve manufacture and project implementation for the tendering of Bipole III HVDC project. C-PERI’s General Manager Dr. Guangfu Tang warmly welcomed the delegation.

The delegation first site-toured a number of places around C-EPRI’s premises, such as State Grid UHV DC test base, Power System Power Electronics Laboratory, HVDC converter valve production workshop and State Grid Simulation Center. And then a series of technical discussions were arranged. C-EPRI’s R&D and project implementation capability deeply impressed the delegation members.

Persons accompanied include representatives from China National Technical Import & Export Corporation (CNTIC)and Central Southern China Electric Power Design Institute(CSEPDI).
