C-EPRI has successfully commissioned the 500kV De-Icer for Baiyi DC station near Kunming, Yunan Province.

On October 17th, the complete set of De-Icer equipment was put into operation through system test and 24-hour trial operation. This ice melting device is installed in Wudongde to Guangdong/Guangxi power transmission project, a UHV multi-terminal DC demonstration Project.

The project will further improve the stability of the Wudongde DC Interconnector and the Yunnan-Guizhou Interconnector, providing a strong guarantee for the power grid's safety for the coming winter peak.
