24th, September, 2019 marked the successful FAT of the second batch equipment for the EPC project-Electro-mechanical Equipment Reconstruction of SHPPs in the East of Republic of Serbia. Representatives from ELECTRIC POWER INDUSTRY OF SERBIA (EPS), consultants from Netinvest d.o.o and AF-Consult Switzerland Ltd, together with project team from NARI participated the FAT.

The FAT was conducted simultaneously for electrical and mechanical equipment. Based on contract terms and drawing specification, the representatives conducted detailed inspection and thorough tests for hydraulic turbine, generator, transformer, governor and control system, and concluded that all the equipment satisfy test requirements. The FAT therefore was successfully concluded.

The project of Electro-mechanical Equipment Reconstruction of SHPPs in the East of Republic of Serbia is NARI’s first hydropower EPC project in Europe, with the scope of refurbishment for 5 hydropower plants and new-installation of 1 hydropower plant.

So far, the equipment for 5 hydropower plants have been tested within the factory successfully, the other plant is in the designing phase. The smooth implementation of this project improves NARI’s capability as an EPC contractor for overseas projects, and facilitates promotion of NARI’s brand worldwide.
